Ithaca is located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York State, a four and a half to five hour drive northwest of New York City.  There is lots to do in Ithaca, especially if you love wine and/or nature, so enjoy the area!

Here is a map of Ithaca in relation to New York City (click to enlarge).

Driving to Ithaca:

There are several ways you can drive to Ithaca, depending on where you are coming from..  Here are some general directions:

Coming from Long Island or New York City:

Take the George Washington Bridge to I-80 through New Jersey and into Pennsylvania.

Just before the Poconos pick up I-380, and take that to I-81 in Scranton.

Take I-81 North through Binghamton to the Whitney Point Exit (Exit 8) to Route 79.

Take Rte 79 west for about 30 miles, which will lead you right into Ithaca.

Coming from Westchester County or North of NYC:

Take the Tappan Zee Bridge to the NY Thruway (I - 87) to exit 16 - Harriman where you will get onto Rte. 17 West.

Take Rte 17 for about 2 hours until you hit Binghamton.

Once you are in Binghamton you can either follow the directions above (get onto 81 North and take that to Exit 8 and get onto Rte. 79 West, which brings you into Ithaca) OR you can proceed on Rte. 17 to the SECOND Owego exit (exit # 64, we believe) and follow signs to Rte. 96B, which takes you into Ithaca (Remember, 96 B not just 96-which takes a bit longer).

If you need directions from a different place please e-mail us and we can help you out.

Once you're in Ithaca, here's a slightly more detailed map of Ithaca to get you to the hotel.  The Statler is situated on Cornell's campus (see the further detailed map below), and the Super 8 is just off of South Meadow Street.  You can also use google maps to get point-to-point directions.

**If anyone is interested in flying into Syracuse, please let us know as we might be able to help coordinate travel arrangements to and from if individuals or groups are arriving/departing around the same time.
